Statement by statement
Statement I – INCORRECT: Indian Railways have prepared a National Rail Plan (NRP) for India – 2030 (not 2028). The Plan is to create a 'future ready' Railway system by 2030. The NRP is aimed to formulate strategies based on both operational capacities and commercial policy initiatives to increase modal share of the Railways in freight to 45%. Hence Statement I is not correct.
Statement II – INCORRECT: Kavach is an Automatic Train Protection system which was developed indigenously by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in collaboration with the Indian industry. According to Indian Railways it is a cost-effective Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL-4) certified technology. It was NOT developed in collaboration with Germany. Hence Statement II is not correct.
Statement III – CORRECT: RFID Tag Installation: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags are placed throughout the entire track length to enable the Kavach system to track train positions and detect any potential safety issues along the route. Hence Statement III is correct.
