Statement 1 – INCORRECT: The Bidibidi Refugee Settlement is located in the West Nile Area of Uganda (NOT north-western Kenya). It is home to over 270,000 South Sudanese refugees and is the second largest refugee settlement in the world. Hence statement 1 is not correct.
Statement 2 – CORRECT: People who fled from South Sudan civil war live in Bidibidi refugee settlement in Uganda. The settlement was opened in August 2016 and the Uganda Government and NGOs have worked to create a settlement rather than a camp. Hence statement 2 is correct.
