With reference to casual workers employed in India, consider the following statements:
1. All casual workers are entitled for Employees Provident Fund coverage.
2. All casual workers are entitled for regular working hours and overtime payment.

Statement by statement
Statement 1 — CORRECT: The Supreme Court in Pawan Hans Limited & Ors. Vs Aviation Karmachari Sanghatana ruled that casual workers are also entitled to social security benefits under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act.
Statement 2 — CORRECT: Sections 6 & 7 of the Code on Wages, 2020 relate to number of regular working hours and weekly day of rest & overtime provisions respectively, applicable to all workers including casual workers.
Statement 3 — CORRECT: The Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (as amended in 2017) enables the appropriate Government to specify by notification in the Official Gazette industrial or other establishments which shall pay wages only by cheque or by crediting to bank account.
