Statement by statement
Statement 1 – CORRECT: The Swadeshi Movement had its genesis in the anti-partition movement which was started to oppose the British decision to partition Bengal. The most important aspect of the movement was a focus on self-reliance or Atma-shakti which led to the development of indigenous industries and nationalistic institutes.
Statement 2 – CORRECT: In August 1906, the National Council of Education was established. The Council defined its objectives as 'to organize a system of Education Literary; Scientific and Technical — on National lines and under National control from the primary to the university level.' Hence the National Council of Education was established as a part of Swadeshi Movement.
